What is Rabbax Technology?

Rabbax Technology © stands for 'Rabbit Acceleration', a phenomenon that embodies the swift growth of rabbits through a harmonious blend of custom-made housing, breeding, and maintenance practices. The application of innovative techniques, methods, and cutting-edge technology has led to this accelerated growth, with a special emphasis on the avoidance of growth hormones. Every aspect of the company's operations revolves around this principle of accelerating the development of these magnificent creatures.

The concept behind "Rabbax Technology" is rooted in the belief that rabbit breeding should be humane and compassionate. This ideology prioritizes the welfare of the rabbits while still achieving profitability, rejecting the harsh exploitation and depletion that often occurs in intensive rabbit farming. The technology and equipment employed are designed to cater to the innate needs of the rabbits, while abstaining from the use of growth promoters and other medicinal additives that are commonly abused in the quest for profit at any cost.

The «Rabbitax» equipment represents a seamless fusion of technical and technological solutions, providing automatic and self-sufficient life support systems for rabbits. This makes 'Rabbitax' a trustworthy and dependable tool for rabbit breeding in environments that mimic the rabbits' natural habitat. Here, rabbits are born, raised, and bred in pristine living units that ensure their health and well-being. In fact, most of the rabbits raised in these conditions never experience illness, nor do they require visits to the veterinarian or the administration of vaccines or medications. The «Rabbitax» equipment takes care of the vast majority of rabbit farm safety, providing a comfortable and secure environment for these wonderful creatures

Features of rabbit housing in Rabbitax mini-farms

The Rabbitax technology is grounded in the principles of natural rabbit husbandry, both in outdoor and indoor settings. Specialized structures are employed to meet the rabbits' needs in at least 10 critical areas that are essential for the development, maintenance, and breeding of robust animals. The technology places a significant focus on the physiological requirements and natural habits of the rabbits, incorporating recent advancements in the understanding of the rabbit digestive system. As a result, the humane breeding and care of these animals is ensured. The Rabbitax mini-ferment was developed as a direct reflection of these critical animal needs, providing a comprehensive solution for rabbit husbandry

Key factors considered in the design of Rabbitax:

Protection from harsh weather conditions, such as cold and heat, and eliminates draughts. This allows the rabbits to conserve energy that would otherwise be spent on heating or cooling their bodies, enabling them to channel all their energies into growth and development. Additionally, the immune system of the rabbits is not weakened by the struggle against harsh weather, but remains intact, endowing the offspring with robust immunity. The 'Rabbitax' technology creates a safe and comfortable environment that enables rabbits to thrive and reach their full potential.

Hygienic living environment, free from waste and filth. The rabbits are housed in clean and pristine rooms, with the waste, including their own feces, automatically removed through the use of a bunker collection system. This eliminates the rabbits' exposure to any potential contamination or infection and prevents them from ingesting or breathing in harmful particles. The 'Rabbitax' technology guarantees a clean and odorless living space, allowing the rabbits to live in comfort and safety.

The cage is equipped with a powerful ventilation system that ensures there are no unpleasant odors or fumes present. This guarantees that the meat produced from the rabbits will not have any unpleasant odor, including the scent of urine. The droppings are also automatically removed, contributing to a clean and hygienic environment for the rabbits.

The rabbits drink water that is maintained at a comfortable temperature, automatically heated in winter and cooled in summer. A plentiful supply of water helps flush out harmful toxins and substances from their bodies, enabling them to keep themselves clean and healthy. Additionally, parent rabbits are less likely to bite their offspring if they have enough access to water and are not stressed due to other factors commonly found in conventional rabbit husbandry. During the parenting period, a rabbit's body temperature remains elevated for several days. If water is not available, the parent may resort to eating its own offspring in order to obtain moisture, as nature has arranged it to be a better outcome than risking the death of an adult capable of reproducing again.

The heating system in the rabbit nursery is crucial during winter as it provides a warm environment for the growing rabbits. The young rabbits are able to nurse less frequently, allowing them to conserve energy and allowing more of the nourishing properties of the mother's milk to go towards their development. This, in turn, allows the mother rabbit to feed up to 12 offspring effectively.

To ensure the safety of the young, the nesting site is equipped with an anti-trampling device. This helps prevent inexperienced mothers from accidentally crushing their offspring while they move around in the nest.

The construction walls on five sides effectively block out the noise and provide insulation from the elements. The internal microclimate within the enclosure is kept comfortable, thanks to the use of natural wood in the frame and the lining of the cage construction. This design ensures that neither cold nor heat accumulates, providing a stable and comfortable environment for the rabbits.

A well-fed and hydrated rabbit will have a digestive system that functions as nature intended. In conventional rabbit breeding, however, little consideration is given to the physiological needs of the rabbit's internal organs. It's important to remember that a rabbit's intestines can be up to 3 meters long and that its stomach is thin and lacks the ability to contract. Furthermore, the production of saliva and gastric juice is not regulated, causing food to pass through the digestive system solely as a result of constant ingestion.

Eating just 2 to 5 times a day or even 10 times a day will result in food stagnation in the stomach. Stagnation leads to fermentation, which can cause the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the stomach. The toxins produced during the decomposition process can then enter the bloodstream, putting the rabbit in a state of constant conflict with its own body. This can result in the rabbit biting and gnawing at its cage, as it tries to push the food through by any means necessary. It's clear that this method of breeding does not produce healthy and strong rabbits.

Protection against the outbreak of disease. The cages are equipped with measures to prevent the entry of mosquitoes and flies, which are known to be the main carriers of viruses and diseases. The irrigation system uses pure drinking water enriched with essential minerals, and it is designed to prevent acidification.

In the Rabbitax mini-farms, there is a designated area for physically separating infected rabbits to prevent the spread of disease. If a viral infection occurs, it is typically due to poor handling practices or a failure to follow regulations and technological requirements by the handling staff. However, the personalized cage conditions in the Rabbitax mini-farms prevent the spread of disease, so that if an outbreak occurs in one unit, it does not spread to others. This provides an added layer of protection for the rabbits and helps ensure their health and wellbeing.

The warm shelves with resting areas in the Rabbitax cages serve two important purposes. First, they protect the rabbits' legs from pododermatitis, a painful condition that can affect the paws. Secondly, they make it easier to remove the rabbits' droppings, keeping the cage clean and hygienic.

The wood parquet flooring used in the Rabbitax cages also provides several benefits for the rabbits. With its poor thermal conductivity, it helps to insulate the rabbits from the cold during the winter, protecting their urogenital system and other organs from cold-related stress. This flooring material provides a warm and comfortable environment for the rabbits, contributing to their overall health and wellbeing.
