Breeding of domestic rabbits

Breeding domestic rabbits is a popular activity on the homestead, farm or in the countryside. A rabbit does not make any sounds, does not moo, squeak, quack, etc. One of the many advantages is that a rabbit takes up less space in the coop than other pets.

Rabbit meat is categorized as white meat and is considered a dietary product. This is due to its low calorie and sodium content. At the same time, rabbit meat is high in protein, B vitamins, and vitamin C, as well as valuable minerals such as phosphorus, iron, cobalt, fluorine, potassium and manganese. Rabbit meat is particularly valuable due to its high lecithin content.

There are many legends about the benefits of rabbit meat, and they do have grounds. Rabbit meat is indeed a valuable dietary product and, which is especially important in modern conditions, it has hypoallergenic properties. The high nutritional value and ease of digestion of rabbit meat is confirmed by the fact that rabbit meat is included in the diet of children from six months. It is a source of complete protein, minerals and vitamins.

It is profitable to breed a rabbit for this purpose! To raise a piglet  (FCR 4,5:1; Department of Agriculture and Fisheries), with a live weight of 100kg per year, you need 450kg of feed (balanced ration). From the 450 kg of feed used for rabbit breeding, you can get 147 rabbits with a live weight of about 4 kg. In other words, under the same conditions, a rabbit gains weight 32.42% more efficiently than a pig. In addition to this meat will always be fresh, just what you need for the table, plus pelts, manure and the possibility of a significant increase in income thanks to the project "30 highly productive areas in rabbit farming". A similar calculation of the data can be seen in the comparison of rabbit and bull defectivity.

It is worth noting that achieving an FCR (feed conversion ratio) of 4.5 in pigs is only possible with a variety of drug agents used in techno-farms. Whereas rabbits raised in appropriate conditions achieve similar performance through the use of proper eco-technology, the quality results of which are impressive.

Obtaining 200 kg of pure meat from Rabbitax 8, without the use of medical additives, is an important goal for many owners who want to provide their families with a healthy and natural product.
