Depasture: Rethinking Animal Housing.

In today's environment, where the average person is becoming more and more aware of the conditions under which animals are kept, the issue of free range is of particular importance. The term "free-range" often sounds like a guarantee of animal comfort, but the reality may be far from this perception.

Today, meat products, particularly poultry meat, are increasingly labelled "free-range" on the packaging. This raises questions about the real benefits of such keeping of animals.

Although a large paddock area is a better alternative to compressed cages, the situation on poultry farms, where thousands of birds are kept indoors, is much more complex. Even with relatively large spaces and ventilation systems, workers are not allowed to stay there for long periods of time due to potential health risks.

One of the main problems is the large amount of nitrogen in the birds' faeces. Even agro farms know that poultry manure is bad for soils, it is a guardian of the soil. Thus, an enclosed space where animals are forced to stay throughout their lives becomes a source of constant toxic exposure. The phenomenon of animals experiencing burns on their limbs and respiratory tracts is often observed on farms, but mass production prefers to keep quiet about it.

Therefore, addressing the benefits of free-range poultry requires serious rethinking.

Our strategy for keeping birds is based on the principles of transparency, which guarantees them access to fresh air, as well as the use of advanced technological equipment. We implement innovative approaches to housing technology aimed at protecting animals from negative impacts from both external factors and internal aggressive stimuli.
